Why don’t I get cell phone reception in school?

November 8th, 2010

My friends on Verizon and Sprint get service in school but those on AT&T like me and those on T-Mobile don’t. I heard that the school has a service cell phone blocker and that the CDMA providers get service in school because they switch frequencies faster than the blocker can block them. Is this true? Do service blockers even exist.

My answer is yes, they exist.

Although some classes without windows don’t get much service at school than classes with windows, so maybe that’s part of the reason you can’t get service or something, that’s how my cell phone blocker is.

You could purchase devices in the US if you met certain FCC criteria. (High-class Manhattan restaurants are still known to have some of these cell phone blocker devices in operation in order to provide a good dining experience.

Can a cell phone blocker interfere with remote starter

November 8th, 2010

I had one remote starter installed on my MDX. And after a couple of weeks, it stop working, wouldn’t start the car. So I took the car back and they couldn’t fix it so they changed it to a better brand, and it was working fine for another two weeks, and then broke again, just stopped starting the car.

We go to the church where they use cell phone blocker, so the teenagers don’t text each other, could that possibly be the problem? But this is only my guess.

If so, than how come my sister’s remote is working and mine is not?

Is a cell phone blocker a good idea?

I will tell you the answer is yes. Because the cell phone blocker has magnetic Interference. If you have a prepaid and her minutes are used up it reverts to an emergency phone only. You can call 110 but not other numbers.

Blocking Your Cell Phone Number Temporarily or Permanently

November 5th, 2010

The most permanent solution is to request a “line block” from your cell phone blocker carrier

To do this you simply need to call the customer service for your specific provider and they can block your number. When you do this your number will never show up to anyone

To call your wireless customer service to block your cell phone number, just dial 10086 from your cell phone blocker and you will reach them.

Sometimes you may want to block you number from caller id for a specific call. You might not want someone to know that you are trying to reach them for the 15th time in a row, or you might be calling a business and might not want them to know your number. Whatever the reason, it’s easy to block cell phone blocker numbers.

In brief, please dial one-zero-zero-eighth-six (10086) if you have any questions.

Can a cell phone signal blocker break your phone

November 5th, 2010

I’d try going with a different carrier. I’ve encountered signal cell phone blockers and they shouldn’t make you have to reset your phone to get signal back. It could be the actual phone though. In principal I understand why it might happen, but with good technology (and carrier) it shouldn’t.

All your details getting messed up every time it gets reset doesn’t sound right. You must have a really crappy phone. Is there any chance you can get a new one?

Other I think under FCC Cell Phone blocker are illeagla and there is a $11,000 Fine. “When an end-user pays to use that spectrum, jamming the signal is paramount to ‘property theft.’” You are paying your carrar money to use that spectrum.

The last since these jammers actively broadcast radio signals they may (or may not) be legal to possess or operate based on the specific laws of the area you’re in.

Applied cell phone jammer

October 30th, 2010

Nowadays, all cell phone jammers is a well-known eqwipment which all of us are familiar with. It is widely applied in some place.

Let’s take examination room as an example. In order to avoid cheating by sending the message or other methods. Since the cell phone jammers was installed, the cell phone signal wouldn’t be received by cell phone.

Another good case is the meeting room. Same commercial meeting and military mettings will be necessary.

Not only these, prison, gas station and so on. They all require the cell phone jammmers. And the cell phone jammers will not affect the other electronic equipment. It hasn’t influence on outside except the coverage of the jammera.

Judging from the content given above, we can safely come to the conclusion that the cell phone jammers will be exwted and applied cong in our life and have a great function.

How do you detect a cell phone jammer?

October 26th, 2010

Call law enforcement. The reason being is that if you need to make a 911 call and your signal is being put in a dead zone. There are serious implications….

The FCC in the United States has outlawed the sale and use of cell phone jammers because they can in theory interfere with emergency communications between police and rescue personnel, aid in criminal activity as well as disrupt medical equipment like pacemakers.

Even though cell phone jammers are illegal, it will be pretty difficult for the FCC to catch them. Triangulating the exact position of someone with a jammer will require some fancy hi-tech tracking gear and several personnel

Cell phone jammers are mainly intended for military or government use. So if they are using it in your area…. they have full right to do so… so you might want to see if local enforcement, military, government…etc etc is in the area using it by contacting them before you create a shit storm.

How can counter a cell phone jammer?

October 23rd, 2010

Is there a device which can make your cell phone “immune” to jamming?

The answer is yes. VoIP (using the internet, Skype) is immune to  signal cell phone  jammers. This is because they don’t use radio signals to communicate. But, you need WiFi for that option.

It also depends on the type of signal jammer. Regular jammers will only block one frequency, while high quality jammers can block many frequencies at once. In the case that they are using a low-quality/regular jammer, you could use a quad-band cell phone (can operate on different frequencies).

Most cell phoe  jammers can’t cover 2G and 3G bands (2G and 3G are completely separate bands). So using a 3G (or maybe even 4G, sprint) could work.

Cell phone jammers

October 23rd, 2010

Cell phone jammers are available in different styles and sizes from personal hand-held models that look like cell phones themselves, spy pens , to units that resemble routers with multiple antennas, bridal gowns, to even larger briefcase-style jammers.

While personal cell phone jammers create a bubble of anywhere from 30 ― 100 feet (9 – 30 meters) depending on the model, more powerful devices can create “dead space” of up to a mile (1.6 km) in radius. This can be useful around a Presidential motorcade, for example, cheap wireless phone, to keep terrorists from detonating a bomb from miles away or even from outside the country.

By wiring a cell phone to explosives the device can be triggered by simply placing a call to the phone, as was done in May 2002 by Palestinian militants in Tel Aviv when they targeted an Israeli fuel depot by rigging one of its fuel trucks.

A way around a cell phone signal blocker?

October 22nd, 2010

I am a student. There is a cell phone signal blocker at my school and everytime. I leave the school my phone doesn’t get signal back unless I reset it. I have a prepaid sidekick 2009 and when I reset my phone it deletes everything and messes up my phone. Is there a way I can keep my cell phone blocker at school? And no answers like don’t bring my phone to school, I have to have it for after school.

Well everyone with this kind of phone on prepaid resets information when turned off so I just never do and it works great. and its not just my phone and tmobile some other people have alot of problems with their phones after leaving the school.

I guess turning it off while in the area is not an option as that equals reset? I don’t know how to do it? I hoped that may obtain the correct solution answer method.

Cell phone blocker

October 22nd, 2010

My friend is a Principal at a High School. He was need to block students from useing there cell phones in class.

I see some answers online. He said  cell phone blocker signals intentionally is illegal. The US federal government, the FCC, and the cell companies don’t like it. As late as about 2001 you could purchase devices in the US if you met certain FCC criteria.

That said, you mess around with the analog and digital frequencies used by cell phones and you will mess up your school’s wi-fi system.

A work around would be to have a no cell-phone policy while at school. Parents who have an emergency can send a message through the office. Heard on NPR about a school doing just that a few weeks ago.

And those thick panes of glass with the wire mesh running through them to keep people from breaking into the school. They’re perfect fora cell phone blocker signal. Install the glass everywhere possible and you’ll create more dead zones than Stephen King. But this would cause problems wireless computer connections too. Unless have a ton of repeaters placed throughout the school. This of course is the expensive opti.
